Multinational documentary filmmaking: opportunities for young producers

Young filmmakers these days struggle to get through in a tight documentary film world. Funding opportunities are getting scarce and the subsidies are being reduced. Therefore it is essential to seek alternatives. The purpose of the workshop is to get familiar with and discuss the successful examples of multinational co-productions.

Among others, the key issues to explore during the workshop:

How do we finance a documentary film today?
How does the crowd funding function?
Which funds support young documentary filmmakers?

The participants will also hear about the  film financing possibilities
within the framework of MEDIA programme.

Date and venue: 30 September 1.00 pm „Skalvija“ cinema centre (A. Goštauto str. 2/15).

Organiser „Skalvija“ cinema centre in partnership with Media Desk Lithuania.
