Deborah Stratman

Artist and filmmaker Deborah Stratman works in multiple mediums, including sculpture, photography, installation, drawing and audio. She is interested in issues of power, control and belief, exploring human struggles for control that play out on the physical environments, such as landscapes and systems.

Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival – New Cinema Award, 2023

After the screening, we invite our guests to join us for the opening night at the Vilnius University’s
Observatory of Ideas (M. K. Čiurlionio str. 29). At 20:00, geologist Jonas Šečkus will lead a 30-minute excursion at the Observatory’s territory, on the geology of Vilnius. After that, we invite you to enjoy the exhibition of minerals, curated exclusively for the festival by dr. Eugenija Rudnickaitė, as well as visit the observatory towers and learn more about the history of the place. Guests will be greeted with snacks, music (DJ Híldå) and wine. The participation to the screening and the opening night is open to everyone.
