In a small Panamanian village lived the late Senobia, an elderly woman who saw the world through her own passionate, creative lens. A vivacious free spirit, she refused to conform to conventional ideas of womanhood as she metamorphosed her surroundings into art and poetry—including the transformation of her own house into The Museum of Antiquities of All Species. In the wake of the deforestation that decimated her community, the directors bring together elderly women who knew Senobia. Surrounded by her curious objects, reading her diary, we learn how the region's hardships have been particularly difficult and cruel for the women of the village. Together they reflect upon loneliness, aging and femininity. With resignation, sadness and humour, we witness how aging and patriarchal structures have transformed their world.
