The Silence of Peleshyan

For the first time in thirty years A. Peleshyan decides to let us into his world. The story unfolds from the meeting with Peleshyan in Moscow, when this hard to capture and intense man is filmed. We stroll together through the city, important places, visit graves of his teachers. The film also brings back to light impressive archival footage about the life of the Armenian director including his years of study at VGIK. Being with A. Peleshyan, one learns about the cinema and worldview of the great director.

Pietro Marcello

Pietro Marcello was born in Caserta in 1976. His film “Crossing the Line”, selected in 2007 for the Orizzonti section of the Venice Film Festival, gained him international recognition. “The Mouth of the Wolf” which is the story of a criminal and his transsexual lover Mary, who waited for him for many years while he served his prison sentence, gained the award at Berlin International Film Festival and was also screened at MoMA.
