Zero Days

Cyber security is one of the most important goals of today’s global politics. Repetitive cyber attacks break into private and national organizations. The information is used in organizing crimes worldwide. A film from Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney researches “Stuxnet”, a piece of self-replicating computer malware that the U.S. and Israel unleashed to destroy a key part of an Iranian nuclear facility. This detective documentary about cyber warfare explores how a computer virus called “Stuxnet” has ushered in a new era of international conflict. The “Stuxnet” virus infiltrated its pre-determined target only to spread its infection outward, ultimately exposing systemic vulnerabilities that threatened the very safety of the planet.
